Organ for Pianists

Organ for Pianists

For the pianist looking to transfer their skills to the organ, this 6-week course will jump-start your organ skills. Designed for the intermediate to advanced pianist, students will learn how their current repertoire transfers to the organ, basic organ repertoire, the technical skills required, and a keen awareness of the needs of modern-day organists. Focusing on works by Bach and other composers from early to modern, students will explore the stops, use of the pedals, and the important differences in keyboard articulation. Students will part from this course with an introduction to the organ and an ability to perform simple works.
